It has been predicted and is now happening, that transcriptionists are becoming more valuable. Sometimes it takes doctors and facilities a while to understand their business decisions and in this case, we are seeing an increase in business due to the fact that doctors are realizing they are spending way too much time typing in their chart notes into their electronic records. Hence, we do it for them and they get their time back, see more patient and actually can have a life outside of the office. This does not mean that we don’t need to keep up with technology, but almost all electronic record software is similar, so once you learn one, you can easily step into another. Voice files of all kinds are now retrieved remotely from the facilities and transcribed accordingly. Sometimes even voice recognition files, since we can hear an audio and edit the document as we go.
Another exciting thing is with President Trump in office, we will likely see the end of government healthcare taking place, so when the free market is open, we will have more jobs, more clients and certainly more opportunities. Get ready, as it will be soon!!
